Halloween Countdown: Serve some sinister punch

ghoul-punch-1875802-l3 days until Halloween!

To spook your guests, be sure to serve this ghoul-aid punch with a hidden surprise. Guest will be terrified when they find a floating ice skull in their bowl. Prepare the skull ahead of time and give the ice plenty of time to freeze. Cover the openings of a Halloween mask with duct tape. Line inside of mask with plastic wrap, and set the mask in a bowl and fill with water. Freeze the mask and pull it out just before guests arrive so they won’t miss out before the ice melts away.

Halloween Countdown: Save on your Halloween costume

audrey-hepburn12 days until Halloween!

Just because you want to go all out for your Halloween costume this year doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. Think creatively and use resources like Craigslist and Ebay to order your costume essentials. The best way to save big on your costume is to start first with the things you already have and then turn to craft stores and online merchants to add the finishing touches. For example, to transform yourself into Audrey Hepburn for the night, bring out your favorite little black dress and your darkest shades. To finish the look, you can find a pair of long black  gloves and a few strands of white pearls. To get into character, quote some of these famous lines from the movie throughout the night: “That’s right. I’m just CRAZY about Tiffany’s!” “I’ve got to do something about the way I look. I mean a girl just can’t go to Sing Sing with a green face,“ or “Did I tell you how divinely and utterly happy I am?”
