Rent DVDs for free

In this economy I’m always trying to entertain my kids on the cheap, and DVDs are a big favorite (we’ve watched Benji so many times in the last few weeks!). Fortunately there are lots of ways to rent DVDs at no cost, and here are three of those ways:
1) I love the Redbox for $1 a day DVD rentals, but I love Redbox even more when I can get movies for free movies. Check out Inside Redbox for free rental codes to use each Monday. Plus, in March, Redbox is giving away free codes each Wednesday on their Red Blog. You can even get free codes by text or by Twitter.
2) If you’ve got DVDs you’re ready to part with, head over to SwapaDVD or SwapTree. Just post what you have and what you want. You pay for postage to mail your DVDs, but all DVDs are free and yours to keep for as long as you want. Or, set up a swap with your neighbors for free DVDs practically on-demand.
3) Head to your public library. The selection of DVDs is bigger and better than you might think. Anytime we head over we always find something we’d like to watch.
Do you have any other great tips for scoring free stuff? I’d love to hear them. Feel free to comment or write me directly through CouponCravings.com.
