I know that this really works, We had 4 boys and 4 girls, plus my husband and I, and feed our entire family on $400.00 a month. I have often thought about a cookbook, or How to book to let others know how to do it….

I wanted to try the challenge. I do all of my grocery shopping at Wal Mart, and only shop the Kroger across the street for their sale items, clearance produce and seafood. My problem was that the tips and the challenge were for GROCERIES. What about those weeks when laundry soap and coffee and shampoo and dog food were on the shopping list? Those things take up a big chunk of the bill. Were those things supposed to be counted seperately or as part of the $100 grocery budget?

I always load up on the items that I use when they are on sale and I have a coupon. I shoot for at least a 50% savings or I don’t buy. I depend on http://www.couponmom.com and http://www.thegrocerygame.com to lead me to the best buys at Hy-Vee and Price Chopper.
