Give your clothes sun protection
Not only is it important to wear sun block everyday, but you also should know if your clothing provides a good barrier between the sun and your skin. Many fabrics like loose weaves and light colored clothing provide no protection from the sun (the average T shirt has a UPF of 5), so you should either wear sun block under your clothing, which can be a sticky sweaty mess, or try out Rit’s Sun Guard. By washing one packet into a warm or hot laundry load with detergent, you provide your clothing with a UPF of 30 or blocking 96% of sun’s rays for up to 20 washes. Sun Guard won’t change the color or texture of your clothing, and is safe for sensitive skin. Three boxes cost $6 plus shipping and handling—so little money to save your skin from serious damage.
