My washer and dryer is a hand-me-down from my parents…the dryer is slowing fading on me. This would be a total life saver, not to mention time it would take to actually finish the clothes

I have never had a new washer and dryer. My dryer is about shot and my washer is VERY old. What a beautiful color! And it would be a cost savings instead of using the antiques that I have now. I WANT TO WIN!

Betty Runyon says:April 10th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
my washer is on its last leg as it does not work in the slow wash and it will not spin out on small loads…my dryer has worn out the plastic gaskets on it and makes an awful noise when used…sometimes it thumbs loud and you think it is the end for it.. but I got to live with this as I am on fixed income…
Kelly Potter says:April 10th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
I have an washer that is 20yrs old and no dryer at all. I have been w/out an dryer for so many yrs. I can’t remember. I have to hang my clothes out on a line in the summer, which really don’t mind other than socks and towels in the winter I hate it. I live in the Northern PA and a new washer and dryer would be Such a Nice thing. I wouldn’t probably know what to do at first. The red color looks so nice.

Jennifer Johnson says:April 10th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
My washer and dryer broke in the same week I lost my job in February. We were able to get enough money together to purchase a washer. My husband takes the clothes to the laudromat to dry as we live in the Seattle area and it is wet most of the time, so hanging clothes to dry is not an option on most days. My husband had been unemployed since October ang just returned to work at half the pay as his previous job. A new working washer and dryer would truely be a God send during this difficult time.
Holly Welch says:April 10th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
I think Jennifer Johnson needs this more than I do…. I hope she wins! may the one who need’s it the most win….from albuquerque,nm

I might even get to take a break, and I don’t know if I would know what to do with myself!

You guys who are entering this washer and dryer sweeps, do realize that you have to pay taxes on what you win, and since this set is worth $10,000 you would have to pay about $3,000 for taxes… so great if you were planning to buy this set, save you about $7,000
Phyllis says:but if you are broke like 99% of us these days… you would be unable to pay taxes without taking out a loan.
April 21st, 2009 at 3:47 pm

My point is thats how old they are and we still have the washer but had to get a new dryer. It would be nice to save money on a energy saver washer and dryer. I love, love the front loaders.

I have been praying for the past two years to find a way to get a new or better washer and dryer! I have never owned a new set, always used ones…not complaining, just explaining! I am 53…graduated from a college course 2 yrs ago..had a auto accident during last term of college….still can’t work due to injuries…I do my family 3 and my elderly parents’ laundry – my dryer takes up to four or more complete drying cycles to get one load dry ( it is at least fifteen yrs. old) when it is warm out, I hang clothes outside, then put in dryer with sheet of fabric softener to soften and disinfect) Please pray with me that I’ll win this set! It is a need, not just a want!
