Get free medicine for colds & flu
Posted by Erin Gifford, owner of CouponCravings.com
We’re nearing the end of cold and flu season but we’re not there yet. Over the last few weeks I have been quite the regular at the pediatrician’s office, and prescriptions and other feel-better medicines are not cheap. So here are three ways to get free medications.
1) Transfer a prescription over to Rite Aid and get a $25 gift card, which may more than cover the cost of the medication. Walgreens, CVS and Target also run these free gift card offers, so be on the lookout on their Web sites and in their weekly ads.
2) Several national and regional supermarket chains are giving away free antibiotics with a prescription. This is great for kids with ear infections and strep throat. Take advantage of this offer through March 21 at Wegmans and through March 31 at Giant, Stop & Shop and Safeway. Publix, Meijer and Giant Eagle offer antibiotics year round.
3) It’s easy to snag medicines for free after instant rebate deals at the major drugstores. This month at Walgreens, get Sambucol Cold & Flu Relief or Walgreens Extra Strength Headache Relief for free after store coupons and rebates. Or, get free Vitamin D at CVS after instant rebate. The offers change every month, so keep your eyes open!
Do you have any other great tips for scoring free stuff? I’d love to hear them. Feel free to comment or write me directly through CouponCravings.com.
