Listen to free music

Posted by Erin Gifford, owner of CouponCravings.com

save-entertainment-2001I love the way music can make you feel, even more so when the music doesn’t cost anything. So, here are three ways to listen to free music right now.

1) Check out Amazon.com. The site has more than 500 free music downloads, and every day there’s a hot new track available. Today it’s “Seven Mile Breakdown” off of the new Taylor Hicks album, The Distance. Sign up for Amazon’s weekly newsletter to get a heads-up on these weekly freebies.

2) Get hip to online radio. I’ve been a long-time fan of AOL Radio, which offers more than 350 free stations, including local CBS Radio stations. Plus, I love that you can skip over songs. So, if you don’t want to listen to that Duran Duran song on the Awesome 80s channel, you can just move on to the next hit.

3) Listen to Muziic. There’s a brand new site called Muziic that lets you stream millions of songs to your PC and it’s completely free (as well as legal!). Basically it works by letting you listen to any song that’s been uploaded to YouTube.

Do you have any other great tips for scoring free stuff? I’d love to hear them. Feel free to comment or write me directly through CouponCravings.com.

I love music, so I will definitely be checking those sites. You can also get some free downloads at http://www.emusic.com and http://www.walmart.com is constantly offering new free songs. :)

This may be too obvious, but iTunes also offers at least one free song every week. It’s usually right at the center of the iTunes store page, and a new one comes up every Tuesday. Pandora is also a great online source for free music (plus you can get a free app on your iPhone).
