I love free stuff. It’s just a fact. And with three kids, I love free food even more, so here are three great ways to score it.

1) Got a birthday coming up in the family? Before you head out to celebrate, head to FreeBirthdayTreats.com and search for the local restaurants offering you or your kids free appetizers, desserts or even free entrées on family birthdays. Pets need birthday love too, so you can even find free birthday treats for dogs and cats on this site.

2) Before you eat out with kids, hit KidsMealDeals.com first. Just search for restaurants near you and the site will tell you the eateries that offer “kids eat free” deals as well as what day(s) of the week to go and whether purchase of an adult entrée is required.

3) Get on the email lists of your favorite restaurants. I signed up with a local restaurant chain called Paolo’s Ristorante and got a coupon for a free appetizer. Corner Bakery will give you a free cookie and Champps will give you a free cheeseburger or appetizer just for signing up on their mailing lists.
