THIS WEEK: Announce your party.
Mail your invitations now. Electronic invitations are a great inexpensive (not to mention eco-friendly) way to send notice about your New Year’s extravaganza. Utilize free sites like Evite, Socializr, MyPunchbowl, Renkoo and Centerd to personalize your invitations. Don’t forget Facebook! It’s a cinch to send invitations via the events application, however these can’t be modified beyond Facebook’s blue-and-white design.
Plan to start your shindig between 9 and 10 p.m. Your guests probably will leave around 1 a.m., so if you begin earlier you’ll be exhausted by the end of the night.
