Cheap entertainment: TV shows
I was thrown for a loop last night when I settled comfortably on my couch, turned on my DVR with hot chocolate in hand and eagerly scrolled the list for Sunday night’s episode of Brothers & Sisters: it wasn’t there! For those of you who sometimes forget to set the recorder like me—or may not have a recorder at all—do what I did and turn to the Internet to catch up on missed shows (without paying a cent). Here’s where to go:
Hulu.com—From Fringe and SNL to Kitchen Nightmares and Top Chef, this site houses a wealth of current and old TV shows that you can watch for free. It also has an extensive list of movies to choose from, too.
ABC.com—Watch full ABC shows (Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters and more) right at their Web site, at no cost. Look for specials, too, like the 42nd Annual CMA Awards.
NBC.com —Same deal here. Watch entire episodes of The Office, 30 Rock and more!
FOX Broadcasting —24 fans can relax, Fox offers this free service, too.
Modernfeed.com —This site scours the net to find you the show you’re looking for right away, and they list tons of new episodes (like Army Wives) and old ones (remember Alfred Hitchcock Presents?)
So if you missed your show or you’re low on cash, don’t fret — you’re only a click away from hours upon hours worth of free entertainment.
