Entertainment Book Secrets

The new Entertainment Books are out for this year and if you don’t have yours yet – run, don’t walk – to go find one! The book, available at your local school or mall bookstore, ranges between $20 – $30 depending on the area you live in.

So why should you have an Entertainment Book in your arsenal of money saving tools? For starters, purchase one and you can save on restaurants, travel, shopping, movies and sports. Packed inside are buy-one-get-one-free meal coupons, in addition to a multitude of store coupons that will help you save in ways you might not have thought of before.

Painting the house? Many books have 20 percent off coupons from paint stores like Sherwin Williams. However, Home Depot or Lowe’s will also accept those coupons, and most times, the products at these venues are much cheaper than stores that specialize in paint. So price matching with the paint, carpet and hardware store coupons will yield savings greater than the face value of the coupons.

You can also use the coupons to price match at other stores. A Bed Bath & Beyond coupon can be used at Linens ‘n Things, Jiffy Lube will take any of the oil change coupons and Blockbuster will take other video store coupons.

Best of all, the book features $5 off $50 coupons from Safeway and various other grocery store chains. These coupon savings alone will pay for the cost of the book, making the rest of the savings a huge bonus!
